Enjoy my video footage, photos and thoughts from the August 21, 2017 eclipse (which I spent camping at the point of totality epicenter in Hopkinsville, KY / Eclipseville).

Photographs of the 2017 solar eclipse from the 100% point of totality – Hopkinsville, KY (aka Eclipseville)

The evening of August 17th I set forth (on what I believe will always be one of my most memorable journeys) to witness the August 21, 2017 solar eclipse at the 100% point of totality in Hopkinsville, KY (aka Eclipseville).

Hopkinsville is a VERY interesting place – click here to read a bit about the city’s history.

I have SO MUCH to share about my camping trip (and I also have some video footage to post) – so make sure you join my live webcast this Friday.  For now, enjoy these photographs I was able to take with my 10 year old Sony DCR-SR62 camera with eclipse shades taped to the lens (I’m amazed I was able to capture these considering my lack of preparedness and low end technology, but hey… sometimes things just work out).
